XFC: The Undefeated “Master of Cool” reflects on unshattered determination heading into #XFC24
In just over a week, “The Master of Cool” Kevin Forant will take his gritty, blue collar style of MMA to the Sunshine State, when he takes on Eric Reynolds at XFC 24: Collision Course in Tampa, Florida. Forant looks to position himself in the XFC Lightweight Title picture, in hopes of a possible title shot later this year. Before he can watch the Main Event, and see who walks away with the 155lb strap, he will have to convince Eric Reynolds to go along with his plan.
Kevin Forant (5-0) doesn’t shy away from the label “Blue Collar”. In fact, he feels that this label describes not only his style of fighting, but how he lives his life every day. The only fighting Forant did as a child was when the gloves dropped on the ice, or when his twin brother roughed him up at home. By many standards, Forant was a late starter to mixed martial arts. With no base discipline, Kevin Forant didn’t step foot in a MMA gym until the age of 26. Where most people think this is a disadvantage, “The Master of Cool” feels this benefits him. His body hasn’t taken the years of beating in the gym and in the cage like many of his opponent’s bodies have. When you add this, to his incredible will to win, you can see why Kevin Forant is undefeated as a professional.
Forant was asked why he was going to win on June 14th in Tampa and this is what he had to say: “Eric Reynolds has been quoted as saying he is going to break my will at XFC 24…..
