WCFC today announced that its World Championship Full Contact series is planning to commence simulcasting its live events to sports bars in an exciting, new interactive format. Some of the features of the broadcast will include ring girl contests at the sports bar that are piped back to the live venue, interactive voting at the sports bar that is tallied to vote for fight of the night, best knockout, etc., verbal shout-outs from the ring announcer, and a Q&A session with the fighters.

Joe Wooten, CEO, commented, “WCFC has always been focused on creating an interactive format for fight fans. Our Internet technology allows us to involve fans more directly in our live events through online voting, chat rooms and contests. We are excited to bring this online experience into a group setting. By forming strategic relationships with select sports bars, we can tailor a unique, interactive event that allows for maximum excitement and exposure for the venue.  We can create a virtual experience for fans that want the experience of being at a live event but are too distant to attend.”

WCFC is in the final stages of negotiations to sign up the first participating sports bars. WCFC will offer the interactive simulcast as part of an overall sponsorship package. Additionally, venues that wish to only broadcast the event to customers can now order the event under the WCFC’s Group Sales program.
