In an attempt to maximize UFC 94′s ratings as much as humanly possible Spike TV presents “UFC Primetime” premiering Wednesday, January 14th. “Primetime” is exactly right, this fight is one of the most anticipated MMA matchups of all time. Those kind of phrases have been thrown out there quite a bit lately (too much in my opinion) but this truly is one of the most anticipated MMA bouts ever. This isn’t like the Couture, a proven MMA hall-of-famer, facing off with Brock Lesnar a massive human being (so they say) and former WWE star looking to make his name in mixed martial arts, type of fight. I’m not looking to take anything away from Lesnar, he won, the guy must know a little something about fighting. But when it comes to the “biggest MMA fight ever” Couture vs Lesnar has nothing on this one. This fight between Penn and St. Pierre brings two of the highest skilled mixed martial artists toe to toe in their prime and with the 97.7 million homes Spike TV is available in the UFC is looking to cash in on that with their highest ratings ever.
