Excited Atlanta fans watched on as all 18 of the fighters competing in tomorrow night’s UFC 88 event took to the scales for their official weigh-ins today.
The weigh-ins took place at Philips Arena, the same venue that will host tomorrow night’s event. The UFC will be only the second MMA organization to host an event at the popular downtown Atlanta venue.
All of the fighter’s came in under the required limit which means that we are set and ready to go for tomorrow night. Tomorrow night’s main event combatants, Chuck Liddell and Rashad Evans, both shared some respective words toward each other after the weigh-ins.
Evans stated that he was “excited as hell” to fight the former 4-time defending light heavyweight champ. Liddell was respectful as well saying, “there’s no way you can look past a guy like that.”
Joe Rogan also made an unfortunate update to the already lackluster card, announcing that the bout between Karo Parisyan and Yoshiyuki Yoshida has been scrapped due to a last-minute injury. He then announced that Matt Brown vs Dong Hyun Kim would replace the bout’s spot on the main card.
The results below reflect the new line-up which has also been updated on the UFC.com site.
