Important news, announcements, and interesting moments during UFC 81
- Barry Bonds is in attendance and gets booed. Brock looks nervous and Mir looks confident.
Prelim Recaps
- Emerson won two of the three rounds landing several leg kicks and crisp short right hands. By the end of the second round Nakamura was cut and had a nice size mouse under his right eye.
- So far the first two rounds of Martin vs Eastman have been a boo-fest with absolutely no action. More clinching in the third until finally Eastman landed a nice combo that buckled Martin briefly. The last round was all Eastman.
- The first half of the round Boetsch and Heath traded jabs and clinched. Boetsch lands a big right that drops Heath. He tried to finish Heath but Heath got back to his feet and landed a nice shot of his own. Finally Boetsch threw Heath against the cage and unloaded until the ref stepped in to save Heath.
- Lytle made quick work of Bradley stopping him in only 33 seconds of the first round. Lytle countered Kyle’s first punch and then landed a right hook and another, and another until Kyle was retreating. Lytle stayed on top of him unloading shots until the ref stepped in. After the ref separated the fighters, Bradley, still rocked, pulled guard on the ref and tried to punch. The ref defended himself and subdued Bradley. Pretty funny!
