Super Duper’ Bobby Cooper
Captures First Ever
BlacKOut Fighting Championship
‘Super Duper’ Bobby Cooper fights out of Glory MMA & Fitness. Cooper is no rookie when it comes to MMA, with experience and the high level skills it takes to make it to the top. Cooper has recorded wins in top notch organizations such as Bellator, Titan FC, & Resurrection Fighting Alliance. Cooper’s biggest win of his career was against a well rounded experienced Brazilian Marcio Navarro claiming victory via unanimous decision at Bellator 113. Cooper’s next bout would be at KC Fighting Alliance 11 verses a tough competitor out of the Caveman Crew Josh Tulley, falling short of victory via unanimous decision. Cooper always wants to test his abilities, as he fights the toughest competition he can possibly manage.
Looking to get back into the win column ‘Super Duper’ gets a call from matchmaker Chris Gregory and they set up a fight at BlacKOut Fighting Championship 27 stated for January 24th at the Ararat Shrine Temple. Cooper’s opponent would be Rome ‘Nyquil’ Lindsey (3-3) fighting out of Fort Scott, Ks. Lindsey has never lost a fight inside the Ararat Shrine Temple and the Main Event was set. This Main Event would be the most memorable, as the firstever Professional Title match in BlacKOut Fighting Championship history.
Cooper was definitely the crowd favorite as both fighters stood opposite of the cage ready to get the action started. As the bell rang is was very obvious Lindsey wanted to come out and display his striking skills looking for the knockout. Both fighters ended up in the clinch position switching positions several times before referee Dan England had them restart the action. After the action resumed Lindsey landed a kick that connected before Cooper took this fight to the ground leaving Lindsey in guard position. That’s when Cooper started working on position going from half guard to side control and evenually the back mount. It didnt take long from there to sink in the RearNakedChoke/ 1ST Rd/ @4:29 and becomes the first ever Pro fighter to win a Championship Title at BlacKOut Fighting Championships. With this win ‘Super Duper’ Bobby Cooper improves his record to 13-4.
