strikeforce at the dome payouts

Fighter payouts and salaries were revealed for the February 23 StrikeForce at the Dome event which took place at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.

Bob Sapp came out on top with a cool hundred grand for his lackluster performance and loss to boxer Jan Nortje at only 55 seconds of the first round. I guess sometimes it doesn’t pay to win as Nortje only pocketed $15,000 for his dismantling of Sapp.

The second highest payed fighter was UFC vet and IFL team coach, Maurice Smith, who took home $30,000 for his quick submission win over Rick Roufus. Jorge Masvidal took home $20,000 while Roufus and Riggs both pocketed $15,000 for their efforts.

StrikeForce at the Dome aired live on HDNet and set a state combat sports record for live gate selling more than $500,000 in tickets. The total payout for the event was $245,500.
