Sokoudjou Dropped From UFC

Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou was one of the most anticipated young stars of MMA. Sokoudjou made a big splash bursting onto the scene with a left hook at Pride 33 that knocked Antonio Rogerio Nogueira out cold. The UFC was hoping to see more of this explosive power when they signed him but Sokoudjou’s three fights with the organization have been disappointing to say the least. He did have one victory in the octagon coming against Kuzuhiro Nakamura but lost to Lyoto Machida and Luiz Cane. The “African Assassin” is only 25 so there is still some time to grow and hopefully make it back to the big stage where the UFC was hoping to see a true star be born. Being so young I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of him but this must be a big disappointment to Sokoudjou as the UFC continues to trim it’s roster.
