It looks like we have another heavyweight slugfest in the works for Affliction’s upcoming Oct. 11 show "Day of Reckoning." According to one of MMAJunkie.com’s sources, negotiations are currently underway to put together a bout between former IFL heavyweight champion Ben Rothwell and Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga. The only roadblock preventing this match up from happening is K-1’s approval of "Mighty Mo" fighting outside of his current contract. Siliga is a virtual newcomer to the sport of MMA with only 3 fights to his name although all three ended in drastic fashion with "Mo" introducing his opponents to the canvas in wicked fashion. |

The latest victim to be on the wrong end of "Mighty Mo’s" heavy hands was Ruben Villareal at K-1 Hero’s Dynamite event in June. Villareal only lasted a little over a minute and a half before meeting the mat face to face. Rothwell is coming off a loss to Affliction "Day of Reckoning" headliner Andrei Arlovski. Although losing, Rothwell held his own until the third round when he was silenced with a barrage of Arlovski’s punches. Before that loss, "Big Ben" had put together an amazing 13 fight win streak. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Affliction’s encore event is rounding out nice so far with some great match ups. Unfortunately "The Last Emperor" will be absent this time around.
