ROGUE WARRIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS HAS ALL FOUR BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY FIGHTING
Local Army fighters include Rios, Pretat, Soto and Gonzales
El Paso,TX – It’s the US Army squaring off in the 30 foot cage against the Marines, the Air Force and the Navy on April 8 at the El Paso County Coliseum. According to Texas Cage Fighting all 4 services are now on the fight card. The Army is especially well represented with members of Fort Bliss’ Combative Team being joined by some fighting Army vets. Local El Paso fighters include US Army Sergeant First Class Enrique Rios meeting US Marine Sergeant Paul Moreno, US Army Specialist Justin Gonzales fighting another US Army Specialist Willie Parks from Albuquerque, US Army Staff Sergeant Shawn Pretat fights US Marine Sergeant Matt Leyva and US Army Sergeant Thomas Soto will do battle with Air Force Technical Sergeant Michael Parker. Other Army participants include US Army National Guard Lieutenant Logan Sims fighting US Army Sergeant Javier Ayala.
They will all be part of a ten fight professional MMA card that includes former UFC fighters Rich Clemente, a former Navy Seabee and Army Lt. Mike Van Arsdale fighting in the Rogue warrior’s 30 foot steel cage. Clemente will be meeting Warriors Challenge Champion Josh Hinkle and Van Arsdale will meet King of the Cage World Heavyweight Champion Esteves Jones. The event will be hosted by the real Rogue Warrior – former Navy Seal Commander and bestselling author Dick Marcinko. The fighters and Marcinko will be joined by many of our wounded warriors and celebrities who will be attending the event which will raise money for the Stars and Stripes Foundation, a nonprofit which aids the wounded and their families. On hand will be Army Captain and MMA fighter Tim Kennedy, El Paso’s former World Kickboxing Champion Cliff Thomas and UFC, Pride, and Strikeforce Heavyweight Paul Buentello.
The punches, kicks, chokes and takedowns all start at 8pm on Friday, April 8. Hot ring girls, cold beer and great cage action for a great cause will be what it’s all about at at the Rogue Warrior Championships at the El Paso County Coliseum.
