ROAD FC 021 Featherweight Championship

31 January, 2015 –  For ROAD FC 021: “Champions Day” on 1 February, all Main Card fighters have successfully made their weight limits.  All but one fighter on the Young Guns 020 Under Card made weight, and all 14 fights will take place.

At the historic Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea, Featherweight Champion Choi Mu-Gyeom will face Seo Doo-Won in his first ever title defense.  Choi earned the title when he won the 2013 Featherweight Tournament by defeating Kwon Bae-Yong by a Split Decision in a remarkable display of his developed striking and grappling talents.

Number one contender Seo Doo-Won defeated former DREAM Lightweight Champion Joachim Hansen with a record-breaking 15 second knock out at ROAD FC 015.  With this win, Seo avenged his only loss in ROAD FC, and his only loss in 6 years.  Champion wrestler Seo will bring his incredible striking skills to test Champion Choi in a thrilling match up not to be missed!

The Interim Flyweight Title Match between Song Min-Jong and Takeshi Kasugai will also proceed as both fighters were on point.  Song was initially scheduled to rematch Champion Jo Nam-Jin, but Jo is out due to injury for an unknown amount of time.  Song is an all-rounder with endless cardio who has already made two title challenges in his young MMA career.

Kasugai is an excellent grappler and kickboxer from the Japanese promotions HEAT, Vale Tudo Japan, and DEEP. Song versus Kasugai will showcase two of the best Flyweight fighters in Asia as they compete for the ROAD FC Interim Flyweight Title!
