ROAD FC 17: Official Weigh In Results for Lightweight Championship Kume versus Kwon

ROAD FC 017, The Lightweight Championship

ROAD FC 017 takes place this Sunday, 17 August in Seoul, South Korea.  The Lightweight Championship is set between former contender Kume Takasuke and top striker Kwon A-Sol and will be live streamed on Epicentre.tv for $14.95 USD.

This will be the third time Kume has contested for the ROAD FC Lightweight title.  He and Champion Nam Yui-Chul treated ROAD FC fans to two incredibly exciting wars which saw Nam keep and defend the belt prior to his signing to the UFC.  Kwon has won two in a row by finishing opponents by submission which is in contrast to his known striking ability.  Both fighters have made decisive developments in their already exciting styles, therefore this Lightweight Championship match promises to be another blockbuster bout!

“Deadly beauty” Song Ga-Yeon will be making her highly anticipated MMA debut alongside fellow beautiful newcomer Emi Yamamoto.  Song started as an internet sensation and quickly became a hit with fans all over Korea with her appearances on “Crying Fist” and “Roommates”.  However, fighting is her life, and Song expects this first match to launch a long career in the sport of MMA.  Yamamoto comes from the prestigious Mouri Dojo in Japan; although she will also be making her pro debut, she already has amateur MMA experience.  Neither lady wants to start up their MMA journey with a loss; expect these beauties to throw down!

Korean prodigy Lee Yun-Jun will face the incredibly durable Brazilian Thiago at bantamweight.  Lee has been on a stellar run in ROAD FC with four straight wins that includes top Japanese opponents Takafumi Otsuka and Kosuke Terashima.  Silva made himself a hit with ROAD FC fans when he made a come from behind surge to defeat Moon Jae-Hoon with a choke.  A recent fight in Brazil also extended his win streak to four.  Can Lee handle Silva’s jiujitsu?  Can Silva handle Lee’s striking?  ROAD FC 017 will see which hand gets raised!

With Ahn Sang-Il injured due to broken ribs in training, Kim Dae-Sung stepped up on short notice to face Park Jung-Kyo.  Kim opened up ROAD FC 16 with an incredible display of his striking arsenal, including knees, elbows and punches.  Park made a similar display of his heavy hands when he made a comeback after 2 years by knocking out Minowaman cold in the first round.  Fans can most certainly expect leather to be traded in this hard-hitting 88kg match!

Another pair of big strikers graces the ROAD FC Main card as Kim Nae-Chul welcomes Glory kick boxer Yoo Yang-Rae to the world of MMA.  Kim will have no fear against K-1 veteran Yoo because he’s never been knocked out, and Yoo will be looking to change his perception with his legendary kicks when they open up the Main Card for ROAD FC 017 in Seoul!
