This is the actual belt worn by Ricco after defeating Randy Couture at UFC 39. The auctioneer selling the belt is likely a business partner of Ricco’s.

He says that the belt is being sold to help raise money for a school they are opening in the South.

The winning bidder will also receive an autographed picture of Ricco wearing the belt as well as a picture of him handing the belt to the future owner.

Rodriguez holds an mma record of 27 wins and 7 losses. He is 5-2 in the UFC and has competed as a professional since 1999. Ricco knocked out 4 opponents in a row on his way to the belt including Arlovski, Monson and Pete Williams.

Ricco Rodriguez was the underdog at UFC 39 and shocked the mixed martial arts world by tapping Randy "The Natural" Couture to win the vacant heavyweight championship title. It was definitely a fight to remember. Not many people can say they have tapped Randy Couture. Couture was forced to verbally tap at 3:04 of the 5th round.

Although Rodriguez went on the lose the title to Tim Sylvia at UFC 41 and eventually left the UFC he is still a force to be reckoned with and continues to compete in other mixed martial arts events. He has had his share of problems and continues to battle weight issues as well as a drug addiction. The former champ tested positive for cocaine and marijuana after a 2006 event in California.

Rodriguez is attempting to turn things around and will be a cast member on VH1′s Celebrity Rehab starting January 10. The show will run 8 one hour episodes and will be overseen by addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky. You might remember Dr. Drew as the host of the hit radio show "Loveline".
