Apparently the "God Complex" isn’t just reserved for doctors but for mixed martial artists as well. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson who’s recent double arrests have caused quite a stir in the MMA world, has made headlines again but this time for something a bit more superficial. It appears that Jackson is delusional and claiming to be "God" according to an anonymous source close to the situation. It looks like his loss to Forrest Griffin at UFC 86 has had a major effect on the Memphis native. Whatever it is, has sent him on a downward spiral into a state of confusion and delirium. |

Cage Potato was the first to break the news regarding Jackson’s new religious claims.
As Cage Potato states, this is second-hand information so take it with a grain of salt. Whatever is going on with the former champ sounds pretty serious. He is a great guy and we wish him well in his recovery. Feel free to say a prayer for Jackson and his family in the comment section of this post. |

I feel sorry for the guy. Obviously the stress of the sport and his arrests have caused a breakdown. We never really know all the circumstances in a person’s situation so I wish him and his family the best.

this could all be part of the plan to get the charges dismissed. The crazier he seems now, the more likely that the reckless driving charges get dismissed due to insanity. But if it’s true he’s going crazy then, I hope he can get the help he needs.

Thats true Victor, I didn’t think about that although I can’t really see him doing that. I think he is deeply religious. Lets just hope he returns to true “Rampage” form soon which I’m sure he will.

[...] To add insult to injury, Jackson was picked up by police the following day and taken to a hospital for observation after the cops deemed him a danger to himself and others. A little over a week later, there were reports that Jackson was delusional and claiming to be "God." [...]
