On July 24th ERIC BRUNO 4-0 will defend his Burlington Brawl 185lb Championship belt against Darnell Hicks 4-4 in the main event of what has shaped into the best card to date for the Burlinton Brawl. Burlington Brawl 9 has 2 title fights including there first ever 135lb Championship also being on the line that night. Eric Bruno was kind enough to grant MMAmadhouse.com this exclusive interview….

HERE WE GO

MadHouse – Thank you for the interview and for your time leading up to your 185lb Burlington Brawl Championship Title defense with Darnell Hicks. Please tell the Brawl fans where were you born and raised?

ERIC – I was born and raised in Castleton, Vermont.

MadHouse – and where do you train and with who?

ERIC - I train with Tom Murphy at Rail City MMA in St. Albans, Vermont.

MadHouse – What’s your record in all the disciplines that you’ve competed in?

ERIC – I’m 4-0 amateur MMA, 1-0 amateur Muay Thai, and I’ve competed in many BJJ and grappling tournaments but I couldn’t tell you what my record is.

MadHouse – Can you tell the MMAmadhouse readers and your fans something we don’t know about Eric Bruno?

ERIC – Eric Bruno is afraid of sharks, even pictures of sharks.

MadHouse:) Did you always want to be a fighter and who influenced you in relation to MMA?

ERIC – I didn’t always want to be a fighter. I got into Martial Arts for fun, but there was a moment where I felt like, ”Ya know, I can do this.” My big influences in MMA are my first BJJ teacher Julio Fernandez and my current MMA teacher Tom Murphy.

MadHouse – What does it mean to you to be the 185lb Champion?

ERIC – The 185lb Championship means a lot to me because it represents a lot of pain and hard work. It’s nice to have that accomplishment as a reminder of where hard work can take you.

MadHouse – Have you seen Darnell Hicks fight? What do you know about him?

ERIC – I’ve been on the look out for video of Darnell’s fights, but I haven’t seen any. I don’t know much about him other than he’s a little shorter than me and from Ohio. It’s really okay that I don’t know much about him because this will give me the opportunity to work to my strengths and impose my gameplan in the fight.

MadHouse – How do you see yourself finishing this fight?

ERIC – I’d love to see myself finish this fight a crazy submission that I invent at that very moment. Hopefully after a full round of working my stand up.

MadHouse – What are your goals in MMA?

ERIC – My goals are to strive to get as far as I can. I want to keep testing myself at a higher and higher level.

MadHouse – Favorite Quote?

ERIC – Right now my favorite quote is “Fatigue makes cowards of us all.” It reminds me that all the hard work that I do in terms of conditioning will never be in vain.

MadHouse – Once again I must thank you for this interview. MMAmadhouse hopes you achieve all you’ve ever wanted. Please feel free to thank anybody you’d like.

ERIC – I’d like to thank MMAmadhouse, The Burlington Brawl, Rail City MMA, and all my friends and family.

Thank you Eric Bruno for sending me these pictures

Ever since martial arts has become a part of the society, it never stopped on being upgraded and being improved. New additions are expected in a short span of time. That makes people keep asking for more and keep loving martial arts.
