MadHouse – Thank you very much for the honor of having this interview Jessica. It’s such a pleasure to get this opportunity to interview you.

At what age did you start training MMA and is it something you’ve always wanted to do?

Jessica – 19 years old
I fell into fight, I was just looking for a gym to train at to start doing figure or fitness competitions or just something different then playing soccer! ( I was currently playing at the time). So I went down to Strongstyle per a friend and starting taking some basic fitness classes. then the owner Marcus Marinelli my head coach ask me if I ever thought about trying shootfighting. Well one thing lead to the next and I started training full time on BJJ and boxing and muay thai. The rest is kinda like a fairy tale. It just all fell into line!! I can t imagine myself doing anything else! It been the best thing I have ever done with my life!

MadHouse – How did you feel walking down to the ring for your first fight?

Jessica – My first fight was like a dream. I remember not sleeping the entire night before! I laid in bed thinking to myself how can I fight with out any sleep! I know it was cause of the weight cut, was first time I have ever cut weigh in my life. Fight day came and all I could do was smile cause it was my chance to shine, and also be the first female to fight mma in Ohio as well as for the NAAFS. I was had every emotion hit me that day. happy, mad, sad, nervous, excited, scared! But once I heard my music play and I started walking down I went into another world!

MadHouse – and how did it feel after you’d won?

Jessica – After I won, It was like the first time I felt like I accomplished something in my life. I can’t truely explain it, but I only feel it after each fight!

MadHouse – What are your long term goals in this sport?

Jessica – I plan to take my career as far as the national level. I want to be one of the main pioneers in this sport and provide opportunity for many young fighters. I plan to have a very successful relationship with a great organization, as well as fellow fighters.

MadHouse – Whats your MMA record? For all the MMAmadhouse readers out there that may not know Jessica Eye

Jessica – 6-0 mma and 3-0 boxing

MadHouse – Do you find time for any other sports or activities?

MadHouse – Where do you train and with who?

Jessica – I train with StrongStyle Fight Team, with some of the most lethal men that are flying under the radar!! UFC vet Forest Petz, Jeff Cox, Chris Lozano, Stipe Miocic, Joe Heiland, Brian Roger and many more! My head trainer is Marcus Marinelli and Pan American Gold Medals Pablo Castro. We Are Comprido Affiliated school.

MadHouse – What does it mean to you to be the Amateur 125lb Champion and to be a roll model for young girls just getting into the sport?

Jessica – I am excited that young lady’s can look up to me , because I am the same way, I also look up to many female fighters and woman. But none the less its pretty awesome!

MadHouse – And which female fighters might they be and why?

Jessica – I really can’t give you specifics but can tell you , I admire all woman in Athletics cause its dog eat dog world with female athletes ,because if your not successful, people won’t support you nor buy tickets to watch you.
