New “UFC 2009″ Video Game Trailer Unveiled this Friday

thq The 2009 UFC video game by THQ, originally scheduled to be unveiled at UFC 84, will now be unveiled on Friday’s episode of “GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley”.
Late Friday night at 1am ET, UFC president Dana White and host of the show, Geoff Keighley, will give you a sneak peak of the very first game play footage along with announcing two key fighters that will be featured in the new game. The show will air on both Spike TV and Spike HD.

The game which is titled “UFC 2009″ will be the first game released as part of THQ’s exclusive deal that was cemented back in January of 2007. The 5 year contract will allow TQH to publish UFC games through 2011 on all console and portable platforms. THQ has plans to release the UFC game annually with the first release tentatively scheduled for spring 2009.

“It’s always an honor when GTTV has the opportunity to debut the first look at a brand new game, and unveiling THQ’s ‘UFC 2009′ trailer is no exception,” Keighley stated. “This game trailer takes fans into the octagon with some of the best UFC fighters in the world and will leave their ears ringing with excitement.”

UFC fans have been quietly anticipating the unveiling of the game which was suppose to take place back in May at UFC 84 in Las Vegas. The reason for the delay was never made public.
