|Australia’s National Capital city Canberra is a buzz with the imminent arrival of BRACE.Friday the 29th Of November will see the 24th event for Australia’s Mixed Martial Arts event series roll into Canberra and take home at the AIS Arena.
BRACE are not only taking over the city but are bringing the Australian Featherweight Title Fight to entertain the passionate fans of Mixed Martial Arts. Two undefeated Featherweights have climbed the ranks and will now face off to be crowned No 1
Luke Standing (5-0) hailing from Sydney has been in line for this belt for some time now and he will be taking on fellow Sydney sider Martin Nguyen (6-0). Both have fought in Canberra in exciting fights and Standing calls Canberra his lucky city.
The war of words between the two has been a slow burn but as each day gets closer the tension is rising. The two first met and faced off for the very first time back at BRACE 22 in Sydney and all in the room knew then that this was going to be a war.
Standing “This fight ain’t going the distance, I will stop him”
Nguyen “I am bringing the title back”
BRACE CEO Kya Pate had this to say ” I have never been more excited for a fight, these two are the very best at what they do, they are both, young, hungry and have amazing skills, this is my fight of the year, Bring It”
Stylistically this is an interesting match up with an impressive wrestling background Martin Nguyen will be looking to put Standing on his back and ground & pound with elbows, just like he did to the formidable Thomas Ruderman on BRACE 18.
This strategy could fall right into the hands of Standing who is an exceptional grappler and has finished most of his opponents off his back.
The striking of both fighters is also quite exceptional with Standing a former amateur boxer and Nguyen a fantastic aggressive kicking style. This fight has all the makings of a 5 x 5 minute round war and worthy of the Title.
Winning this title will open up many doors for the victor with BRACE being signed to the ONE FC Network an Asian based Network of promotions, media, gyms and fighters. The world will be at the feet of the newly crowned BRACE Champion.
BRACE CEO Kya Pate” We recently staged an event in October at the Townsville Entertainment Centre and had fans tuning in from every continent of the planet!
BRACE is a globally recognised brand, and still amazes me how far we have come, fans from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, Russia, and all over Australia, name a country or region and you will see BRACE fans.
The eyes of the world will be watching this title fight and we are happy to be showing what Aussie MMA has to offer, Aussie guys & girls come to Fight”
