It hasn’t been confirmed yet but there’s a strong possibility that Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell could go to war at UFC 95 set for February 21 at the O2 Arena in England. Not too long ago this could have been considered one of UFC’s biggest fights ever. Is anyone really excited to see Silva put Liddell on the wrong end of another highlight film? I guess things couldn’t get any worse than how his fight ended against Rashad Evans. This is more than just a declining Liddell taking on Silva at the top of his game. Liddell was made famous crushing knockouts of aggressive opponents. Liddell would always seem to get his opponent to open up and attack him. Liddell would then do what he does best – counter attack. Silva is also a counter striker. So what will we be in store for, too much respect and a lot of dancing around or one of their famous knockout blows? If there is a knockout, it will be historic. Silva could send Liddell off in the sunset or Liddell could once again write his name in the history books as one of UFC’s greatest fighters ever.
