Ian Schaffa is finally returning to MMA at AFC 5 on May 10th after almost three years away from the fight game. The thirty-five year old Schaffa is set to face off against twenty-four year old Kieran Joblin in an exciting lightweight bout.


Ian Schaffa is a true legend of the martial arts community in Australia. He has fought in K-1 and shooto promotions all around the world. Schaffa has a mixed record of 7 wins, 8 losses and 2 draws and he will be determined to even the ledger.


Schaffa had a memorable and relentless battle with Kid Yamamoto with its constant action and the evenness of the fight. However Schaffa fell short in the third round and suffered a TKO loss.

Schaffa’s last fight was in December 2010 was against Jai Bradley at Cage Fighting Championship 14; where he lost by submission.


Kieran Joblin is a holds a record of 7-5. He will be looking to get back on the winner’s list after his decision loss to Nick Patterson at Kings of Kombat 8 in December.
