Corey Hill undergoes surgery, out up to 18 months

It was a rough night for the losers at UFC’s Fight For The Troops. Corey Hill had the roughest night. As he threw a kick in the second round Dale Hartt blocked the kick breaking Corey Hill’s leg. It happened so fast the ref didn’t even see it allowing Hartt to jump on Hill and initiate a little ground-n-pound. All the screams to “stop the fight” coming from outside the octagon prompted the ref to step in. It took Hartt himself a second to realize what was going on. Corey Hill underwent surgery at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Hill is expected to be out of action anywhere from a year to 18 months.
Also treated at the hospital were Razaak Al-Hassan, Jonathan Goulet, and Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Goulet and Yoshida were treated and released for concussions after their knockout losses to Mike Swick and Josh Koscheck. Al-Hassan was treated and released for what was believed to be a broken arm, turns out it was a dislocated elbow. Tap, nap, or snap. He chose snap, it’s probably safe to say next time he’ll tap.
Not mentioned in the hospital visits was Brandon Wolff but by the looks of things he’ll definitely require a lot of ice. Ben Saunders gave him a lesson in muay-thai by landing one knee after another leaving a little knot on his forehead.
