Former BFC Lightweight Champion ‘Marvelous’ Michael Heckert (5-3) steps in for injured Tyson Hicks to take on Kenny Licea (6-2)

Former BFC Lightweight Champion ‘Marvelous’ Michael Heckert (5-3) steps in for injured Tyson Hicks to take on Kenny Licea (6-2) at BlacKout Fighting Championship 27 at the Ararat Shrine Temple in Kansas City, Missouri.

Tyson Hicks was originally scheduled to fight Kenny Licea in a title eliminator bout at 155 pounds but unfortunately earlier  this week Tyson Hicks faced some issues that forced him to withdraw from the fight. We contacted Michael Heckert about taking the fight and he said “Let me get in the gym and see how I feel after a few hours of training and I will give you answer”.

Michael Heckert is a fighter who is always up for a challenge and understands that the only way to get better is to test yourself as an amateur and that is the reason he stepped up. ‘Marvelous’ is ready to get back in the title mix and will do just that with a win over Kenny Licea.

Kenny Licea is one of  the most active fighters on the amateur circuit right now. He has fought 8 times in 5 months and is looking to kick off 2015 with a big win at BlacKOut Fighting Championship 27.
