Fitch Back In The UFC

He’s in, he’s out, he’s back. One day later, Jon Fitch is back in the UFC and still plans on fighting Akihiro Gono in January at UFC 94. This is a big step for both him and the UFC. Yes, Fitch could have made some money elsewhere and the UFC would have went on without him. But the best fighters should be in the best organizations and in this case it’s nice to see that’s what happened in the end.

No thanks to Dana, it sounds like Lorenzo had to patch this one up.

“Communication kind of broke down with Dana (White) so we talked with Lorenzo,” Fitch told MMA Rated. “(I) just got off the phone with him and we came to an agreement. We’re going to move ahead and I’ll be back in the UFC. We’re going to sign off on the video game and I’m back. It was never even about the agreement or the contract. It was the approach that we felt Dana was being a little bit hot-headed and was threatening us right off the bat. It didn’t seem like a professional way of doing things.”
