MMAweekly reported on Saturday that Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos has withdrawn from his match scheduled for March 29 at StrikeForce against Joey Villasenor.

According to the article Santos is having Visa issues that will prevent him from competing on the 29th.

“He has been having visa problems in Brazil,” Strikeforce vice president Mike Afromowitz told MMAWeekly.com. “The delay in his arrival would jeopardize him getting licensed in time for the fight.”

A new opponent for, Jackson’s Submission Fighting student, Joey Villasenor has yet to be announced but we can expect one soon.

The action packed card for StrikeForce already includes some of the organizations top fighters. Featured in the main event of the night will be Frank Shamrock defending his StrikeForce middleweight title against Cung Le. Other big names on the televised card will include Gilbert Melendez defending his title against Gabe Lemley, Jake Shields vs Drew Fickett and Nick Diaz taking on Jae Suk Lim.

Cyborg fought as recently as March 5 when he took on Makoto Takimoto at World Victory Road’s Sengoku event. Santos defeated the Japanese Judo practitioner via achilles lock at 4:51 in the first round. Before that fight he had lost two in a row, once to James Zikic at Cage Rage 21 and once to Gegard Mousasi at the Hardcore Fighting Championship’s "Destiny" event in February. Cyborg is currently 16-11.
