EliteXC “Unfinished Business” Weigh-in Results

The weigh-ins for EliteXC’s "Unfinished Business" were center stage today at the Stockton Arena, in Stockton, CA, the same venue that will host tomorrow night’s event.

A total of 22 fighters hit the scales at around 5pm ET this afternoon to prepare for tomorrow night’s championship triple header which features the much anticipated rematch between brawlers, Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith.

The two strikers will finally get a chance to settle the score in a five round title bout that will hopefully end with a clear cut winner. Their last meeting ended in controversy when the ring-side doctor waved it off due to a third-round inadvertent eye-poke.

Two other stellar title fights round out Saturday’s card including a battle for the vacant EliteXC welterweight title between ground master Jake Shields and former Bodog FIGHT Champion Nick "The Goat" Thompson. The only title fight that won’t make network tv is the heavyweight championship bout between Antonio Silva and former UFC fighter Justin Eilers. It will instead air on the Showtime portion of the card along with two other bouts at 8pm ET.

A swing bout was also added this week featuring a match up between Marlon Mathias and David Douglas.
