EliteXC presents ShoXC Elite Challenger Series tomorrow night, April 5, at the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, CA.

The worlds best up and coming mixed martial artist will battle it out inside the cage for a chance to make their mark in the exciting and explosive sport of MMA. Airing live on Showtime at 11:30pm ET, the main event will feature (9-0) Jared Hamman taking on (8-1) Po’ai Suganuma in a light heavyweight match up.

Bao Quach vs Doug Evans (147lb Catchweight Bout)

  • Round 1: Bao begins the round with a nice low leg kick. Evans shoots in for a weak shot that is stuffed. Bao immediately hooks up a guillotine that forces Doug to abandon the takedown attempt. They start to slug it out. Evans comes in with a good punch kick combo but Bao retaliates and lands a huge right hook that drops Doug Evans. The ref jumps in to save Evans and the fight is over.

  • Final Result: Bao Quach wins via KO (Punch) at 0:55 in the 1st round.

Matt Lucas vs Giva Santana (Middleweight Bout)

  • Round 1: The crowd begins to chant Giva, Giva. Giva lands a brutal low leg kick. Matt comes in with punches and they clinch. Lucas scores the takedown into Giva’s full guard. Santana starts to work his hips while Lucas tries to get some ground and pound going. Matt postures and throws a couple of shots. Lucas has yet to mount any kind of real offense. Giva looks for the armbar but misses. The ref stands them up after lack of action from Matt on top. They immediately clinch. Giva lands a knee but Matt lands a punch that stuns Giva. Lucas lands a big left hand that grazes Giva and sends him to the mat. Santana sinks in the armbar and adds another arm to his collection finishing the fight.

  • Final Result: Giva Santana wins via Armbar at 4:49 in the 1st round.

Shayna Baszler vs Tama Chan (140lb Bout)

  • Round 1: Chan comes right out with a superman punch and goes for a takedown. Baszler takes advantage and immediately gains back control. They scramble and stand. Shayna unloads with a beautiful combo that lands. Baszler slams Chan with a vicious suplex and takes Chan’s back. She sinks in the hooks and starts to flatten Tama out looking for the choke. Baszler then unleashes with a barrage of right hands as Chan covers up. Baszler again goes for the rear naked choke. Baszler cranks Chan’s neck at a weird angle and Chan taps. This fight was all Baszler from start to finish.

  • Final Result: Shayna Baszler wins via Neck Crank at 2:05 in the 1st round.

Fabricio Camoes vs Joe Camacho (Lightweight Bout)

  • Round 1: Camacho starts things off with a big leg kick. Camoes gets the takedown into Camacho’s guard. Camacho lands some nice elbows from the bottom. They scramble and Fabricio ends up in side control. Camoes starts to work the body and the head in half guard. Camoes starts to land some big shots to the head and body of Joe. Fabricio unloads with a barrage big shots and the ref steps in to save Camacho.

  • Final Result: Fabricio Camoes wins via TKO (Strikes) at 3:30 in the 1st round.

Jared Hamman vs Po’ai Suganuma (Light Heavyweight Bout)

  • Round 1: They immediately start to trade blows and Suganuma lands a huge overhand right that rocks Hamman. Po’ai smells the blood, rushes Hamman and lands a beautiful flying knee that sends Jared to the mat. The ref jumps in to save Hamman from any further damage. Hamman and the crowd are unhappy with the stoppage. The crowd boos after seeing the replay.

  • Final Result: Po’ai Suganuma wins via TKO (Strikes) at 0:15 in the 1st round.
