Ecko Purchasing Pro-Elite and the EliteXC Brand?

According to iguillotine.com Marc Ecko Enterprises is the leading bidder for ProElite, Inc. and the EliteXC brand. MEE hopes to inherit ProElite’s television contracts with both CBS and Showtime. Marc Ecko seems to be highly interested in MMA. He has launched a MMA focused collection with their launching partner, MMAwarehouse.com. He has sponsored some big names in the UFC including Nate Diaz, Michael Bisping, and Matt Hughes. And last year, when Sibling Sports’ M1 Global announced it was going to both sign fighting legend Fedor Emelianenko and produce a show in the US, the press conference was held at Ecko Enterprises. Mark Ecko Enterprises definitely has the bankroll for such a purchase if they’re really interested so don’t be surprised to see (MEE) go through with this. I also wouldn’t be surprised to hear from Dana White shortly after. There’s no question that you would no longer be seeing rhinos in the UFC octagon.

FUBU buys the IFL… Next? Maybe we’ll see battle of the clothing brands. Hey, at least we’ll have some better t-shirts instead of that same ol’ Affliction and Tapout crap you see everywhere.
