COMBAT ZONE MMA TRANSFERS OWNERSHIP
DERRY, NH- Combat Zone MMA LLC, the premier mixed martial arts promotional company in New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, announced today that professional fighter Calvin Kattar and business executive Jamison Kattar have acquired ownership from David George, effective immediately.
George, a former mixed martial artist who was the driving force of Combat Zone and built the company into the regional standard, is stepping aside to concentrate on his many other business ventures and family. He is proud to hand over the reins to the Kattar brothers.
“Calvin and Jamison are the right people to take over Combat Zone and I am excited that they will take it to an even higher level,” said George. “Their intricate knowledge of MMA and invaluable hands-on experience from the perspective of a fighter and as businessmen make them the perfect team. I could not have found anyone better to continue Combat Zone’s established tradition of excellence.”
Calvin Kattar, who won the main event of Combat Zone 44 by unanimous decision on June 14, amassed an impressive record of 14-2 during his pro career and is one of the fastest rising stars in the exciting sport of MMA. The dynamic and highly-skilled featherweight, currently riding a six-fight win streak, has headlined nine Combat Zone cards and is undefeated in those main events.
Jamison Kattar is the manager for his brother and Team Kattar MMA and is also the function and bar manager at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club.
“We are very excited about taking over Combat Zone and intend to maintain the high standard of integrity set by Dave and his family,” the brothers said. “We look forward to working with all of the fighters and their management teams, and to continue to present outstanding cards that are competitive and thrilling for Combat Zone’s large and loyal fan base.”
Combat Zone 45 will be September 6 in the Sports Club at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH. Meanwhile, fans and fighters can follow the developments on www.facebook/combatzone-llc
