BFL 20, interim title at WarPath MMA 9

MMA Fighter – Morgan Littlechild

I always try to finish my fights without needing the judges call; the same as my coaches and teammates have been known to do, but at BFL 20 I went to the decision. I fought undefeated Manvir Birk from Mamba MMA in a grind of a 3 round fight, which saw him winning the first round with effective positioning and grappling defense. I came back and turned it up in the second round, winning the round off of my back (literally) with aggressive BJJ and up kicks. The third round saw myself land effective stand up, good take down defense, and even a take down of my own. The fight was ruled a split decision victory for me, and I am not impressed with my own performance.

Fresh off this victory, I will be fighting for the WarPath MMA interim featherweight championship in 2 weeks, at WarPath MMA 9, in Chilliwack B.C. My opponent is a striker from Victoria, and all respect to his skill and training, but this is my title. I’m on 5 wins in a row, and all I can say is that I will do everything to ensure that on December 8th, judges will not be needed when I walk away with that belt around my waist.
