8 Second Double Knockout Video

Shonie Carter, guest referee at the Legends of Fighting event on May 16, witnessed one of the most unusual fight endings in the history of MMA.

Rookie fighters, Tyler Bryan and Shaun Parker, each connected with right hooks simultaneously knocking each other out only 8 seconds into their LFC debuts. Carter, who had decided to attend the event on whim, had never seen anything like it during his 12 year career as a professional fighter.

"My first thought was ‘holy [expletive], then my second thought was that someone needs to get in here and make sure the guys were OK."

Ironically enough, the event took place at the 8 Seconds Saloon in Indianapolis. According to Shonie, one of the fighter’s father tried to tell him that his son was ok and that he could continue on with the fight. As expected, Carter told him that his son just got knocked out and the fight was over. Both fighters woke up soon after the knockout and ended up being ok.

Shonie Carter’s next fight will be against Demi Deeds on May 30 at the Primetime Fighting Championship event. He also revealed that he would be fighting Luke Stewart at a Strikeforce event on June 27th and Matt Major on July 25th at a Cage Combat event.

The 8 second double knockout video is spreading like wildfire on Youtube and has already been viewed nearly a half a million times in only three days.
